I Heart Myself Makeover

I was very honoured to be part of such an amazing journey for Audrey who was the winner for the “ I heart myself” Make over Competition through Essential Magazine and The Look And Feel Good Expo.

I worked with a fabulous team of Experts who all worked their magic on Audrey.

Audrey: " I got thrown a curve ball when we moved into my Mother-in-law's home eight years ago to provide full time assistance to her, due to Alzheimer's disease. It is only on reflection lately that I have realized that, with time, I lost my 'sense of self' in her beautiful home where I often felt like a visitor. As I had also stopped teaching Art at the time, my personal income and the gratification that comes with doing something that one loves, came to a halt. Our two lovely children are 17 and 14 now and I have enjoyed indulging them with attention and time but in doing so, perhaps started neglecting myself a tad! Add a commuting husband to this and the total of the equation should come to: A middle aged woman in dire need of a complete make-over! And that is where you came in to my life with the 'I Heart Me' competition."

Here is a little insert from the magazine of what the competition was all about..

Here is a picture of Audrey before the transformation:

And Here is Audrey after the transformation:

myself Lori Mauerberger who did her hair and makeup on the day of the transformation at the CTICC

Audrey: Lori Mauerberger is a Picasso with a make-up brush and my family hardly recognized me after she had had done my make-up at the CTICC. Please tell Lori that I posted a pic from the CTICC on my Face Book page and got so many "I Like" and other positive feed backs that I felt a bit embarrassed.”

To end it off this is what Audrey had to say about the whole experience:

“I think that if I have to summarize what I got out of the make-over, then it would have to be that I feel like my old self again (In the context of the 1st paragraph) - before life 'rough and tumbled' me! I feel more energetic, confident and happy and am putting thought into my appearance again.

Lastly, the proof of the pudding is in the eating: I went to tennis on Saturday and was quite overwhelmed by all the compliments I got. As a result, I felt like a million dollars and even won my Mixed Doubles in a tight three setter. It was such fun and so exciting to win and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks sssooooooooooooo much.”
